With the aim to train highly qualified labor force that serve needs of the society, Dai Nam University was founded in accordance with Decision No.1535-TTg -14/11/2007 made by Prime Minister. Dai Nam University is an Education Institute in the National Education System, directly managed by Ministry of Education and Training. One the first days of establishment, Dai Nam University set its own target to become one of the top ranking universities in the country and all over the world as well with regard to “Quality, Prestige, Renovation, and Service”.

Dai Nam University is a private university; and the members in the University Board of directors were former teachers or lecturers at other universities and local entrepreneurs. The top leader is Chairman of Board of Directors, Dr. Son Dac Le, the former lecturer at Hanoi University of Sciences and Technology together with nearly ten years of experience under the role of General Director of a renowned commerce joint stock bank in Vietnam. The school’s mission is to train high-quality work force in the fields such as economics, engineering - technology, social and humanitarian sciences, and foreign languages so as to serve the process of domestic industrialization and modernization in the global integration scenario.
