关于电磁波模式及模式变换(mode converter):
电磁波模式(类型):电磁波载波的模式有横电波(TE模式)、横磁波(TM模式)、横电磁波(TEM模式)、电场能量占优势的EH混合模式和磁场能量占优势的混合模式(HE模式)。
模式变换及意义:从信号源输出的信号一般不能直接激励天线,此时需要将输出信号的电磁波模式变换为适合激励天线的电磁波模式, 例如金属圆波导波导HE11模式、介质圆波导HE11模式,使得天线输出高增益和低旁瓣的定向波束,实现电磁信号的高效率和远距离传输。实现一种电磁模式到另一种电磁模式转换的微波器件称为模式变换器。
模式过渡器(mode transition)及意义:当输出合适电磁场模式的传输线与天线馈源尺寸不一致时,需要将该模式的电磁波无改变地由传输线输送到馈源--此时,就要需要模式过渡器这一微波器件来完成电磁波模式的无改变传输。
